Unable to build fru with bridge as target

I tried to build a fru to rebuild geel bridge and it kept saying I wasn't close enough to target even when targe icon read 1 meter. Had no trouble placing a fru next to bridge by calling it a defensive mission for that depot so I suspect fru's don't like bridges.

Never managed this either. In any version of this game.

Only way is to load a truck with sappers, and letting them reload at truck, without a FRU.

Kind of like this, because it makes people work together.

That's why. Too easy to destroy bridges otherwise.

Open to discussion on changing it with recent changes to sapper. Ideas?

Could the error message at least be changed? The "not close enough to target" error wound up being misleading, at least for me. In the case of fru's on bridge missions maybe change the error to invalid target/destination/mission/etc?

we have never been able to target bridges.

you have to target the town, park the truck, start FRU, and there you go. It's not an issue of bridges being too easy to blow.... we have 111s...

MSs have never worked when you target the bridge.

You can target bridge and make mission, but FRU / MSP won't set. Sort of (hmm, actually very) misleading, the mission should not be able to be created in the first place imo.
