New patch tanks still point straight up when rendering

I climbed atop a house roof, looked over and a sherman tank was pointed straight up into the air and fired straight up into the sky then it correctd to "normal". Gray pz2 appeared thru some bushes and he was initially pointing up as well.

yea ,weird thing happen to tank after 1.34 , like flying, lagging, and when they go boom they lagg a lot and go in ground sometime..

I got good conection with no preblem, only fater 1.34 patch got some issu with server deconextion or lagging with infs or tank.

Gophur, I think this is the same thing that was reported earlier and is still happening (to all vehicles I believe). If you stop moving for some time, your vehicle starts pitching up and rolling. In 2nd person only. Once you do something like fire or move a turret, the tank/gun returns back to normal.

It could be tight to distance the last time I play the tanks that had stop at a specific distance around 1km-800m would begin to aim and sink or fly but after moving would begin to correct themselves

I don't think so, spawned a Bofors yesterday and alt-tabbed to second account 20m away, after a while the bofors started rotating.

I've been watching this tank for quite a while hiding here inside a building in charleroi. Hasn't started flipping yet.

the problem with updates probably doesnt show when you're sitting with "GOPHUR" and "GOPHUR2CRS" watching each other...

Its a problem with world updates and vizlist priority....

Get enough players in a confined area and then the host or whatever decides which "vehicle" needs updates starts lacking....

I've had armored vehicles and guns start doing the flip/roll/sink/hover/point upwards thing do when standing next to them while in a busy area

It's the host & vizlist settings or prioritizing...somehow i think the extra 64 bytes that were sent from the old host had a purpose....

Agree gsc. Smells like that to me too.

I was sitting in a giant fire fight in charleroi clipped inside a giant building. (I can fly too!).

I saw this a couple nights ago.... friendly tank in a decent sized battle started to slowly rotate the barrel towards the sky. The tank was stopped, engine off I think both times. My connection/ping was fine.

One thing I noticed consistently that the tank's directional state corrected when the tank fired. Dunno if that helps or not.

I saw the same thing last night (01/19/2012) in a larger-ish battle in Charleville. We had something of a gun line set along the river, and for the better part of 2 hours I watched the 2 ATGs next to me slowly spin along a random axis... one as if the rotational axis was drawn between the two wheels, the other as if the axis went straight through the gun barrel. Both would right themselves if I viewed them firing, possibly when some other user input registered but I wasn't watching them all that closely. A few tanks drive past during that time, didn't see anything strange with them but none stopped nearby for any length of time. I think I have a couple screenshots if they would help for some reason.

I've seen the weirdness with some consistency since my last post. I think my connection stats are generally at least average, if not a little better. But that's something I could test more thoroghly if need be.

Ohhh yes is this still happening. I pulled security for a couple of tanks and kept having to instruct them to fire their MG to reset themselves to the correct spot.

It's happening, as well as some mysterious floating tanks.

They fly up in the sky slowly.

The best part is that you get credit for hitting them when they are up off of the ground.
