Probably not. Require a whole rewrite of the infantry collider and interaction system.

This is why game makers hate prone.

This is why the game players hate the game makers. Unacceptable. Only game Ive EVER played where this happens. Most game makers make sure their product actually works before marketing it....Just sayin.

Oh hush. BF3 has this problem. There's been a slew of AAA FPS titles that don't even have prone.

WWIIOL was released early at Strategy First's insistence. And that resulted in the game literally not working, not just a clipping issue.

Theres plenty of games that I've played where prone clipping is an issue. It's not a RAM related issue. I'd suggest just not proning near a wall where you think your legs will clip through. Some bugs can be fixed on the fly or with some work. Others you just kinda have to accept and adapt to it.

I've been an online game player for 20 years, since before stack was added to windows and we had to rig our own intranet connections from college.

According to a lot of the gamers I have met, all game dev's are morons and all players know how to fix everything. Getting back to reality however, as Gophur notes, we need a totally new collider system to fix the worst of the issues we face here, and that's just the truth. Making it seem like every other game is seemlessly perfect in this regard (when they aren't) isn't going to change anything. We just do so much more with this 12 year old game engine than it was ever built to cope with. We don't have the options to just start again with another game engine.

Yeah, we'd LOVE it if these clipping issues were able to all be fixed, if you think otherwise you're making a huge mistake. We're just telling you how it is, straight up and without spin.
