Where does the Mac client stand with its issues?

1. US P38

2. No AAR at all

3. US sniper

4. H2Bs invisible bullets and no sprites - yet is visible to other players.

5. Collider issues with objects which are trapping players into terrain and building objects

6. Invisible players

US sniper issue..

this is an anomaly

The Majority of ppl I know own macs over PCs as personal computers. I am also one of the only friends who does not own a ipad or iphone... Mac is popular here.

Also the pc one has 3 times the FPS lol

The PC drops in FPS right as you pull up the scope also but in general they get better FPS. The P38 is mac and im getting 100fps there. I have had it in the 150s before...

Well the upside on the mac is no single CTD since 1.34 for me :D

I'd be happy to have my AAR back though.

Oh and spawning trucks/atgs/aa on the 1st floor in the depots is kinda annoying too.

Dont u have to have Windows to load up?

Yes you do. Bootcamp works very well if you can find a copy of windows, preferably XP as I found that easier than vista or 7.

Still means you need a copy of the software though and doesn't get you around the Mac client failing. I still own mac and will never switch :) i think ahwulf who was mac support is off/away/gone might be why such issues.

LOL huge problem... made worse cause you cant get on the roof for some elevated ATG action.. I spawn 2nd floor 95% of the time and usually takes about 4-5 respawns to actually spawn in the right spot.

We no longer have the services of AHWULF and so we are currently struggling a little with the Macintosh client, as we have zero Macintosh specific personnel in our employ now.

I heard a rumor about that - guess its true. I guess what I am asking is that they are ticked to be worked on. ATM the biggest issues are the P38, second floor depot spawning and the AAR.

1. I never really thought of how much I paid attention to the AAR, but it really is a nice feature and helps me gage my performance which adds a lot to my enjoyment.

2. P38 is unusable, and during the mini-map often the AAF was the closest AF to the action and I was unable to enjoy it.

3. I lost a few ATGs b/c the second floor spawning sometimes would clip and kill my crew... let alone not allow me to defend when needed... even though it does work correctly at times.

Those are my top 3 issues on the Mac side...

So are you planning to employ a replacement for Ahwulf or an equivalent that looks specifically after the Mac client (and other stuff probably) ?

Gonna be very straight here, playing and paying a beta for 1 month with no clear answer from the devs on bugs (sometimes no responses to threads at all, and this doesnt go for Mac stuff only) has pushed my patience to the last bit with this game.

Now I'm not saying you're not doing your jobs but there NEEDS to be more transparency about what is happening, there's people unsubbing just because of the lack of that.

I thik Ahwulf was an unpaid volunteer or certainly not a full-time member from what I read when he was helping us Mac guys. Without knowing the figures of mac vs PC client it's hard to know what they wil do but I woldn't count on it being fixed soon. I'm with you though we could do with some transparency so the Mac people know whether to hang around, leave or get hold of bootcamp.

Everyone of us is an unpaid volunteer that pays for the privilege of being a 'volunteer'. We are in fact paying to test a broken game that has ALWAYS had issues with it.

Yup, I can't believe I'm paying to beta test this, especially when I once offered to do it for free...

We can't give you any news on Mac specific employee status because we have none.

We are working on the Mac issues and will continue Mac client development for the time being. There may still be issues but like all bugs that's simply on going work we have to do.
