A Warm Welcome to the Yanks - and a Consideration for HC

It was great to see the yanks present in the Beachhead campaign - I thoroughly enjoyed it. One thing did strike me as a problem which needs addressing before the yanks are included in the main game.

Thee were several days (UK daytime) when there were no UK missions at all and no french ones either. The problem comes about when the overnight (uk time) action is obviously dominated by the americans and the brigades on the front line are mainly USA. When AOs/DOs are created the only towns with access are american. The uk mission board was empty all uk daytime several times.

Solution : obviously HC will not make losing choices of which AOs/DOs to choose - but what can be done is to keep brigades from a variety of countries in the front line. I appreciate that this also has its own problems e.g. who moves the brit's brigades when the brits are asleep and the front line moves etc.

The same could happen to the USA but is far less likely. The USA peak time is when UK is asleep. The UK peak time is USA afternoon/early evening.

The lack of UK missions got some comments during Beachhead and the HC did their best to address the problem once it had been noticed. My point in bringing this up is to ask the HC to have a good look at this area in the time left before the USA joins full time.

Any other comments that may help CRS and HC about this topic? We want this to work but it will change the game and the more minds thinking about this the smoother the transition will be.

As an HC officer, allow me to throw a little perspective onto this one. In low pop situations, an AO will usually be placed on a town with a linking american flag. Why? Because thats where the new equipment is!

Some people want to play American, some british, etc. When there are 7 American brigs, one british and one french on the field, the US brigs are going to take priority, especially because you are facing an enemy who will always have the semi-auto's and shrecks. Once the brits get their equipment updated to be equal (See, some form of RPAT and either a better rifle or a semi-auto) the AO's will return. Especially if it instead becomes 3 Brit Brigs, 3 US and 3 French.
