Put a satchel charge on an S35 on the sap spot and all it did was blow the engine compartment and he was still able to fire.

Got another stachel from the FRU then placed another on the same S35 and still nothing, he was still firing.

As I was waiting for my FRU timer to run out to place another 10mins later the S35 must have used all his shells because as soon as he hit to despawn he blew up.

Obviously some sort of bug there as I got the kill for him also.

Not exactly.

You either killed the driver or damaged his engine compartment enough to register a military style kill, as in the vehicle wasn't going to be operable without a ton of repair.

Upon despawn if the vehicle was "killed" (at least for ground vehicles) it blows up.

Also the S35 sap spot has always been a little persnickity.

I know it has always been a pain in the arse but it seemed different as I have been taking out S35's for a lot of years.

One satchel I could understand as it might have been slightly off but not the second, always get him on the second.

All I'm saying is it might be worth checking out, not everything is human error.

Well, I mean that the S35 sap spit is literally persnickity. It works about 60% of the time. Include host and update errors and that drops down to 30%.
