I can basicaly do this all the time now that i fugred it out.

kinda cool but definitley a bug...does it need to be fixed? (not really)

When you deploy a 40mm inside the fb tent and let it sit for a second it will "jump".

After it jumps you hit undeploy, deploy (move the gun a bit), undeploy, deploy (move the gun a bit) and next thing ya know your 40mm is ontop of the fb tent.

Shot 3 EA down while ontop but I think a lot of that could have been contributed to the shock of seeing a 40mm ontop of the fb.

(nah, i got really good aim)

Don't fix this. This is probably one of the most hilariously awesome features in the game! I love it when it happens!

This bug has been around for awhile, over the last couple of years I've seen the bofors and smaller AAA on top of the spawns.

the smaller ones yeah, you can basicaly walk those up the sides.

but the 40 i get ontop by going "through" the green tent ontop

all in all it really holds no advantage other then the 360 view around the fb (good for watchin ei) but as far as ea your stuck on a big giant target that they can see perfectly.

It's because the stabilizing "legs" that go outwards when you deploy, cannot clip the tent wall and not try to force a consequence of that clipping. In this case, jumping around and other wierd movement blipping until the conflict between the vehicle collider and the tent colliders is resolved, resulting in "voila!" you're now on the roof of the tent.

This is why you can spawn the big guns inside depots at all, when we first tested these they caused issues that get you stuck inside because they are too big for the space available.

Best advice for now is don't deploy a Bofors INSIDE the spawn point unless you wish to go through the clipping process to get on the roof of the spawn, which makes you about 10 times easier to target and be killed. ;)

You probably thought of that already, but would it not be possible to solve this issue and the problem of not being able to spawn bofors in depots by applying the "no fire" function (the one that is used to prevent players from shooting inside enemy FBs) or the function used to check whether a LMG can be deployed with some tweaking to the aa-guns?
