Multicrewed...Bad, bad....

I checked stats after this guy killed me, multicrewed. If you view in high res/full screen you can see my fls and ping are both good.

Ive been seeing alot of this lately. I thought it was only Allied bombers doing this. But then I started seeing HE111's doing it as well.

Most of the warping I see is usually just before I get the the cell host crashes. When it starts warping i start waiting for the crash

I feel bad about it zeke, i know it was me and hogan in that multied DB.

I do appreciate that you are objective about it, and not calling someone out for unfair gameplay.

It's a global bug affecting all multicrewed units, multicrewed tanks are warping just as baddly. I'm assuming you were the pilot and not the crew also?

If so that explains why Reddog is seeing it as smooth for the pilot while the crew is seeing it laggy. The pilot is warping but not seeing it on his screen.

Hummmm, maybe that's not it? Maybe the "commander"/primary in a multicrew has somehow got switched to the crew?

OK I've got no way of knowing how multicrew works....So I can assume with ease ;)

I'm assuming when a multicrewed unit spawns that the primary vehicle is the commander and the crew is merged/attached/synced to that commander.

I assume that both are actualy seperate units merged/attached/synced with the secondarys visual model turned off.

Could it be possible that it's now the secondary (crew) model that's being displayed visualy and the primary(commander) model turned off?

I've no clue realy but I think the above if true would fit what we are seeing very well.

It's always been that when multicrewed if you zoomed the map in closest and watched your icons they would seperate then merge. It was a steady and continous thing.

Thinking about it what we are seeing now looks very much as I would imagine that crews model doing if it was visable...Looking as if it was rubberbanded to the primary.

I'n fact that is exactly what multicrewed vehicles/planes look like now. They look like the towed guns rubberbanding behind a truck. Hummmmm.......

Just downloaded and installed Beta, sadly multi-crew is still broke..lagging all over the place.

Will this be fixed or as Doc comments indicate below http://forums.battlegroundeurope.com/showthread.php?t=394873&page=5,

be removed from game..

No need in having multiple accounts for multicrew it would seem.

I'd prefer to kill multicrew altogether as it has never worked as well as we intended and creates a whole slew of other issues that still dog us even now. For the number of people who use it, or see it as anything important at all, if it were my decision I'd get rid of it completely.

It screws up scoring, it causes other hand off issues with players in and out of the gameworld, since being in the lobby/UI and being in the gameworld as a spawned entity are two completely different things, and is laggy as hell which is hard to solve also.

Of course, this is only my opinion. Me, not the team or the company.

Given the current situation, 2 people in 1 tank is not better than 2 tanks in the world, and I don't see any resources being available to rebuild multicrew when there are dozens of more important things to do instead.

BTW guys this not only for aircraft same goes for tanks saw one churchill multi crewing and it was &/%&ed up bad.

I hit in back and sides it didn't do nothing the game kept moving him forward and back like trying to calculate his true direction after a couple of seconds he got in flames from a front shot and I got the kill.
