Noticed that this is in the wrong thread.. Needs moving over to the bugs and testing thread.

Now the game hangs out "Finding best network connection" before crashing on launch... This is for the Mac client.

Hey Thrance & other frustrated Mac users,

I had the exact same experience with R-Clicking on a town on the map causing an insta-CTD. I think this must be universal and all Mac users are screwed until there's a new new patch.

The "Finding best network connection" issue is a distraction. I think that's just an artifact of your still being logged in on the server side, so it's having a problem with you "logging in twice" from its point of view. (The previous way it handled "double log-ins" was that it would just abruptly quit while loading, instead of hanging as it appears to now.)

Win7/bootcamp/1.34.6 seems to be stable. With 1.34.5, I was having continuous "Cell Host Connection Lost (20033)" drops on my bootcamp/Win version with the last patch-- which didn't affect the Mac version. In 1.34.6, it no longer gives me that bug.

Petzl

(Obvious) WORKAROUND: Don't ever use R-click on map. Use mouse hover to see which brigade you wish to transfer to. Then use the Change Brigade screen to make your selection. Clunky but works.

I downloaded the new patch tonight without any problems (0100 PST). It took @ 35 minutes. I could connect, login and play the game.

I do have the "right click on a town" CTD.

*shakes head while laughing*

Yup. I've deleted everything having to do with CRS.

I'll check back when they REALLY REALLY fix it.

Shef,

Yes the CTD when right clicking on a a town started with 1.34.6

Everything else seems good. Even the mission AAR is working again.

Yes it started with 1.34.6.. AAR's are working again! Thats sweet! A work around to the searching for best connection bug is to select the primary or secondary server at the playgate settings tab.

I can reproduce this error every time let me know what you need and I can get you all of the info from console and so on.

new to this history of right click?

it would have been in Windows!

no news, what do we do?

It's not that it doesn't work, it's that something new that's evolving the game caused a bug. It's also the holidays, so things are going to be a little slow.

Shef looking at the right click crash. Having some issues as he's not a full on mac coder. He'll find it though.

Can I get a status report on the connection issue. Getting conflicting reports here.
