Head-on collision bug

Two planes head-on : one goes creazy after touching each other , spin-out, then crash, no hit from the other, but he got the kill?

Meanwhile, no effect on the second : he continues flying straight without any damage?

There is a serious problem here, and it keeps killing the fun for ages now... :(

I know its not on top of the list, but PLEASE its really killing the air game, when it hapeens again and again and again...

Logging off for the day.

I posted this in the hangar months ago and I was told its going to stay that way.

Yea I agree it ruins the airgame.

Some of the experienced pilots are actually ramming you on purpose cause they know how to stay alive and kill you.

Never seen it work that way.

If you ram him on your end you take damage. On his end he generally does not take damage and more often doesn't even see you hit him. There is no transmission of collision damage, only weapons. Any collision damage is generated by you for you because you hit (or failed to avoid) something.

I won't spend anymore hours testing this unless I have a good replication method to follow.

ye, its possible to increase the chanse to make the other one to ram the ghost by pulling above? then enemy plane in last split second i think it was.

nothing todo about it really.

unless you reduce everyones ping :D

and making both explode just to be "fair" to the one who actually rammed is not a good idea.

yes the only solution is to have both planes always die if 1 plane dies

of course, then we'd have a lot of planes killed that never, visually or otherwise, saw a collision (ie: successfully evaded the other aircraft) because there can never be zero lag, thus no one is EVER going to see exactly the same thing from both sides of the collision

one other solution is that no one dies in a collision but we've done more than a decade of that before this game and it was horrible, far far worse than what you have here

my solution, and I sometimes fail but accept the responsibility for that, is to lead turn a head on and then jump on their tail and shoot them down, this gets me two desirable outcomes

1. I don't often suffer a death due to collision

2. I get angles on them before they start their post headon reversal, since they are going guns for hits they don't start their reversal as soon as I do and that usually gives me angles or at the least, a get out of dodge break on them

nothing is perfect, and I do sometimes mistime it and get a collision, but 9 out of 10 times we both die so I can live with it, to get the 9 out of 10 times = mutual death collision you just need to lead turn their head on pass

if you pull it off (time it right) there is no collision, and you get angles on their reversal after you

if you don't, both of you die more often than not

until what you see is exactly what you get (for both pilots at the exact same time) the situation is going to stay as it is, and you won't get that dream (WYSIWYG) until lag = doesn't exist anymore, which won't happen in my lifetime

Someday when the TS is up, and you and I have the time, I'd love to play "head on dork" with you to see your strategy in action - I'd love to see this counter move unfold - I have a picture in my mind's eye, but I've likely got it wrong. S!
