Uncapable CP's - various towns

Seen it in a few towns lately, most memorable was city CP last night in profondeville. Was capped Allied and showing as such on my map but what I would enter the CP the cap bar showed all red, as if we owned it.

Several others were reporting the same, but on TS with a squaddie and his map showed it as belonging to us (axis) and as soon as we liberated the final CP across the river, it said 'town libbed' and the flag reverted to Axis on my map.

I've seen this elsewhere, but this is the first time I was on TS with someone who saw the building ownership in the opposite state.

had it already a few times

CP capped ... town contested ... but none of the CPs changed ownership. but the town name is lit up in different color

Question:

since I have to see this at the time it happens (it appears to be spasmodic rather than permanent) could I have you note whether the problem is tied to HOST troubles you might be experiencing ?

Are there other seemingly unrelated problems happening at the same time, that are tied to HOST states ?

Does it repair itself when we do a HOST restart ?

Everytime I have jumped in to look at this it isn't happening, but I get reports that it WAS happening earlier.

Like to track this down.

DOC,

I have only tried changing brigades, changing personas as a means to fix the anomaly, none of which helped. I have NOT even tried to reload the game, until last night I didn't know others were seeing the CP in a different state of ownership than I.

If I see this again I'll be more attntive to details. I cannot remember any other HOST problems seemingly tied to the times I saw this issue...

OK more info on this last night...

Defending in Montreuil I was showing that all 3 French Prod. facilities were allied... Others on TS with me were seeing them allied also, but still others on TS were seeing them as Axis.

Enter the CP and it shows captureable, as if it is Axis. Reboot of the game DID NOT fix the problem. Town liberated and facilities still showing up as Allied controlled on the map. After a few minutes they just suddenly became Axis controlled with no noteable action on my part.

NEW INFO: The AI in these facilities was showing as ALLIED by me, and I was even shot by MG towers (as inf) and shot by an ATG pit (as a 232). Despawned the 232 and killed by: enemy forces. CS&R doesn't even show my as KIA for that mission though... Could not kill the AI with nades or 232 cannon, and yes, I was doing it right.

Squaddies on TS who were seeing Allied controlled also saw the AI as allied, but those who saw the facilities as Axis controlled saw Axis AI. They didn't see the towers firing at us, we just died for apparently no reason from the perspective of those seeing Axis control.

I think we had 10 or so players on TS and it was pretty much 50/50 who saw the facilities under different control. I am certain the general population was seeing similar because a lot of bluetags were trying to cap those facilities and a lot were getting shot at by AI.

Second all the above observations. CPs had wrong flags on them, AI could not be destroyed, AI was still Allied and shooting at us (like flag) BUT the CP was really Axis. When the town was fully re captured, all the CPs suddenly went Axis.

Still happening. Exact same issues in Leuven last night, AI and everything.

Two NCP's and two SCP's seemed to be the most affected, but then again maybe the other CP's were changing hands so rarely? I don't know, maybe any info will help!

It was due to the patch installer error (refer to Barracks thread "HOT PATCH") creating 2 sets of data that were different, when the host can only recognise and act correctly with one set of data

it's fixed BTW
