Getting run over by vehicle while beside it

Eariler today and previously during regular play have been run over by vehicles when standing beside them, not near enough to get caught by wheels/tracks but up to 3 ft away from the vehicle. Was sapping a Panhard, standing as far away as i could and still get the satchel to attach, but he started engine and immediately i was run over-and it Didn't give me a "Killed by" message, just marked me as KIA. That alone sounded a red flag to me.

Has anyone else in game noticed this happening?

He didn't even drive in my direction, but drove straight ahead, so turning wouldn't have been an issue.

Probably an issue of where you perceive yourself to where you actually are, like when you lay in a bush you actually stick out a lot farther than you think because view point is mid torso laying down

I suppose the only Positive aspect is nobody got credit for something Unearned, then.

That leaves only the Rear aspect, where someone's driven Away and yet the Inf gets run over-little harder to explain that as lag/perception/etc, but the way things are going we may never get a real reason, sorry to say.

One can only hope that eventually the problem will be resolved to the satisfaction of all involved.

Thank you for your explaination.

Yeah that is weird. There's a difference between "someone ran me over" and "I got ran over".

We only use the latter. Another player can't kill you by ramming you but you can kill yourself by ramming someone else. Infantry work basically the same as this. There is a difference where we have touching moving vehicle kills as part of satchel placement issues.

I thin this needs more testing. I'd like to look to see if the other guy was actually drawing where he should have been. This could be a variation of a collider offset bug that we've been unable to predict or reproduce.
