If by lag you mean studddddddddders and Ei suddenly popping into existence even with a 58 Frame rate in lilly full battle , yes it's really bad.

I think there are three different things going on, at least that is my interpretation.

1) FPS - often lower in crowded areas (seems more to do with people not terrain)

2) Lag - this is the time I shoot you shoot who dies and if I see them come around corners

3) Stutters - game simply freezes or pauses for short interval every xx seconds; I seem to get this now and then, but only in large towns generally; however, I think I had this in a smaller town recently, so it isn't just town size I don't think

For me; I can control 1 by adjusting my settings, I pretty much can stay at 30+ FPS in all but the busiest battles. Changing my settings can easily find me in the teens, which I find unacceptable. I find 30+ ok, and 20 to 30 playable, not not enjoyable.

As for 2, I think it is better in general, but now and then seems to be some really slow laggers out there. Also, the idle bodies, freezing soldiers, missing death animations etc mess with this a bit (at least the experience of 1 on 1 battles)

Number 3 I haven't figured out; beginning to actually think maybe it has to do with AIR or AA AI. For sure happens more in big towns, it is VERY annoying and I often find myself leaving that battle after a very short time; I just can't stand my game freezing every 15 seconds or so, even if for a brief time.
