Kill awarded from previous mission

Not sure if this a bug or a feature.

Just flew a mission (ID 674671) over fixecourt and killed a spit, his engine was dead.

I rammed him in the process, despawned and got no kill awarded. Respawned (ID 675151), stood 10 mins in the hangar and despawned.

Although I never left the ground the despawn screen showed one kill.

This sounds a bit like when making a mission, being mission leader. Player join up... amongs them call him "player x".

Left my mission, created a new one... and in my new mission I get the message "you have now been unsurped as a leader... from player x" but in my new mission I was still the leader... and alone on my mission still..

Welcome to beta code network, with no timestamp-check or anything.

If I remember right, the is an oldish bug ... 1.31 or something?

What's new is old and all that ...

  • 4 weeks later...

If you despawned before him the kill probably wouldn't show up until he despawned. Not sure that explains this instance though.

Let me know if you see it regularly and maybe we can get a test methodology.
