U.S. flag displayed wrong

I noticed the U.S. flag in Mook on the rail station is displayed upside down. The stars should be in the top left corner. They are displayed so that the stars are on the bottom left corner.

I didn't know if this was a bug or intentional for some reason.

All flags on that building displayed in that orientation. Question. Why should the stars be in the upper left?

That's probably how I would hang it but why? Notice no one ever said anything about the German flag on that building (or french which is also upside down).

Any AMERICAN flag displayed upside down (stars at bottom) is a known SOS call, i.e. "Request for help".

American flag positioning is left/right indifferent (viewer may see either side based upon wind) but NOT up/down indifferent.

If you are a boater displaying an American flag near the Horn of Africa (not recommended), expect a US Navy destroyer or helicopter approach based upon having the flag wrong way up/down.
