1.34.9.255 Killing FRU French LMG Bugged?

Gaspipe, Maxxim and Me (with a few other squaddies) built a number of FRU's on live server today to test British and French LMG against German FRU - and German LMG against French and British FRU.

German LMG has 50 rounds.

British LMG has 30 rounds.

French LMG has 25 rounds.

Each LMG has different energy joules of impact, if only slightly different according to memory.. dont have the exact numbers.

The results below state a percentage of total rounds for that weapon..

So 75% of a german clip would be 37.5 rounds approximately, but French and British would differ.

Final results indicate up to 9 clips of french ammo needed which appears to be an issue!

German and British LMG's seem to be as on par with each other as needed according to difference in weapons!

OBJECT 1 - 6.5 CLIPS FRENCH LMG VS. .75 CLIP GERMAN LMG

OBJECT 2 - 9.0 CLIPS FRENCH LMG VS. .75 CLIP GERMAN LMG

OBJECT 3 - 7.3 CLIPS FRENCH LMG VS. .75 CLIP GERMAN LMG

OBJECT 4 - 5.0 CLIPS FRENCH LMG VS. .75 CLIP GERMAN LMG

OBJECT 5 - 6.0 CLIPS FRENCH LMG VS. .75 CLIP GERMAN LMG

OBJECT 6 - 6.0 CLIPS FRENCH LMG VS. .75 CLIP GERMAN LMG

OBJECT 1 - 1.3 CLIPS BRITISH LMG VS. .75 CLIP GERMAN LMG

OBJECT 2 - 1.3 CLIPS BRITISH LMG VS. .75 CLIP GERMAN LMG

OBJECT 3 - 1.3 CLIPS BRITISH LMG VS. .75 CLIP GERMAN LMG

OBJECT 4 - 1.3 CLIPS BRITISH LMG VS. .75 CLIP GERMAN LMG

OBJECT 5 - 1.3 CLIPS BRITISH LMG VS. .75 CLIP GERMAN LMG

OBJECT 6 - 1.3 CLIPS BRITISH LMG VS. .75 CLIP GERMAN LMG

Each object is labeled, color coded, and numbered - we attempted to make sure all bullets went through only one object (or portion of FRU) as accurately as possible to determine if various barrels or crates had issues with various facing polygons.

Yeah that is interesting. The FRU was designed to take a grenade or better. I may need to update the threshold but the big difference is in the areas.

There should be no difference in one area over another.

The beta's down so I can't test ATM.

I do want to look at this though. Please bump in a week if I haven't gotten back to it.

Good research and nicely presented' date=' well done. Was this from point blank range?[/quote']

All test were done from approximately 10m - 15m away with every weapon, trying our best to shoot just through one object

  • 1 year later...

Adding more fuel to the fire.. with Amercians automatic rifle and a few squaddies as axis efrus..

The US BAR takes 14 clips of 20ammo per clip and reloading TIME between every short small clip to have the effect of removing an axis fru, when germans LMG can take it down in one 50ammo burst..

Do the math on bullets alone and that is 280 rounds to take out german fru, not to mention al the time and NOISE it takes before you are successful. Talk about disadvantages.

Other math requires system knowledge on energy joules of impact.

This US BAR test was conducted same as other test above - point blank up to 20 feet away (or so, close enough)

Did you check if the problem persists in beta or if Gophur fixed it? Is this a migrated thread?

This is not a migrated thread (depending on your definition of migrated) since the first poster clearly states "live" server, and so I added a test result which keeps the variables the same, performing the test on the live server.

However, the beta is not likely to be rebuilt into the live server in the current situation at CRS headquarters.

Additionally, I do have some better results on the beta server to report, which I may get done in a day or so when I finish checking all nations.
