I haven't checked today yet; but there are 13 towns that should be changed or changed within an hour. The surrender time is 12 hours, not 24, unless this was just changed and not announced (or I missed it).

Ok, don't want to take the obvious shot, but, if campaign map is still important, how come the white flags aren't working and towns allowed to remain incorrectly owned for so long? I get the impression the big map really is secondary to RA :(

Don't be a tin hat.

I'm not aware of any issues. Can you be specific? I can test on beta tomorrow.

  • CORNERED RAT

It is an sporadic problem and usually fixed with a server reboot.

You can say sporadic, but it almost had a major impact on this map; towns not surrendering allowed a near cut off by Allies and it denied Axis 2 Zee towns for nearly a week, two towns that never got switched to Axis control, and thus were lost. Those two towns should have been Axis and they never were all map (till final hours when we had the whole N)

While a surrendering town may seem little impact on the map, it actually can have large periphery effects, like slower movements times, incorrect cut offs and riskier attacking options.

And server resets don't really fix the problem, they just correctly identify cut off towns and start the surrender mechanism all over; but it doesn't take into account that towns may have already been cut off for 30+ hours and should be changed.

Ahh roger that. I'm hoping that the 1.35 host will clear that stuff up. Be really nice if some of you guys would go in there and futz with stuff like this when it opens later this week.

I'm going to go cut off some of the towns now.
