AO placement bug

I have had this happen to me twice now.....

AO limit is 3

1 hard AO placed

Unable to place soft AO, error message something like.....'insufficient AOs on supplied towns'

Place 2nd hard AO

Now able to place the softcap

AO limit drops to 2

Rage.

Of course dropping to 2 AOs is unfortunate and not a bug.

My understanding of the soft-cap rules are that a maximum of 1 is permitted at all times. Whether the AO limit is 1 or 10.

I reported this in game saturday evening. If any more info is needed let me know what.

Not quite, since the allies fit, there is only 1 soft cap allowed on map; and that is only after all other AOs have been placed as hard caps. In other words, the soft cap AO can only be the last AO placed.

Sadly, another knife in the playability of the game for players.

If that is the rule(that all other hard AOs must be placed first) then that is just daft. It completely ignores what can be a very fluid map situation. And for the record, although i said softcap, it was actually a 'no-mans-land' AO in the centre of the map, of key importance at the time.

Any chance of changing this gophur?

BTW, try not to make EVERY post you write so filled with biased crap, it makes you difficult to take seriously.

The script is pretty clear. Determine how many AOs can be placed, subtract 1 and that is the number of AOs that must be placed on an occupied town.

Thats what we thought

At the time there was a 3 AO limit

We had 1 placed on an occupied town with german flag in town

2 spare, system spamming that it will place a auto AO

We tried AO a softcap town

System wouldnt allow it

System then placed auto AO

Then we Dropped to 2 AO's
