Cannot see other players

I have a friend who just started playing, and he cannot see me or other players even though I am standing next to him. He is a free2play account, because he's wanting to try out the game; I'm not sure if that would have anything to do with. To be even more descriptive of the problem, he cant see any other players but the terrain loads just fine for him. He can hear some sounds, but it doesn't seem like it is as many as I can. The only time he saw anyone it was a player that was stuck running in place but to me he was in town. Again, I can see him perfectly fine and he moves around just fine. Which leads me to believe its not a network issue. If anyone knows what's causing this I would greatly appreciate the help. All of his graphics drivers are up to date and I went through the setting with him.

Specs:

Core i5 3750K

GeForce GTX 560 ti

8GB Corsair DDR3

Edit: Another issue that we have found is that when he hits escape, all it says is MIA or RTB. it doesnt have a countdown timer and he cant escape from a mission without dieing. We also tried going to a town that is behind the lines. We both spawned in and again I could see him moving around perfectly but he cannot see me. Eventually, he was able to see my guy after about 2 or 3 minutes, but I appeared to just be running in place and it was not at the location that my player currently is.

I have that problem too of not being able to despawn sometimes.

I think CRS can fix this issue but I think it happens due to the internet provider.

In my case my provide has a priority system that the packets that I send probably go to their server and then get processed only when high priority users have been served when using international networks.

This means I will get high packet loss.

Ask him to make sure his Firewall allows WW2ol .exes to access the internet, like adding playgate.exe, ww2ol.exe to the firewall exception list.

Usually connection problem on my end when it happens to me. Have him open the ingame connection info (numlock) and verify his ping isnt (1)
