There's a few spitfire pilots that do that by flying under you and then pulling up. It's deliberate. It happened several times back when I used to fly the He 111 a lot.

I haven't done that, to my knowledge, but if it would ever happen to me, it would not be deliberate, but simply clumsiness. I am still not used to how bloody slow a 111 is and often have to pull away sharply or I would crash into the target.

The problem isnt that Spit pilots do it on purpose.

The problem is that they do it on purpose AND they manage to blow enemy plane without a bullet and get the kill.

Major bug here. I know there is no coder atm, and i fear Allied pilots use this as a new bug tactic and disgust more players to play.

Anyhow, every pilot doing this will be reported, so it should prevent this air disaster.

First of all, you need to score hits in order to get a kill. Explode on contact does not give one a kill.

Second of all, this is not a major bug, rather a unlucky but exceedingly rare result of the way collisions are, and have to be, implemented.

Third of all, it is difficult to do it on purpose, since you do not know the actual delay between the two airplanes and the probability is that you'd mostly misjudge the position and kill yourself if you tried to do it on a regular basis. The reason it's most likely seen in h111s is that the normal attack on a 111 simply puts your airplane in a position where this can happen. You attack it from above, leveling off as you shoot, then you ease up on the stick flying just under the bomber and you proceed by pulling up to conserve energy and prepare for another run. It's almost certainly not deliberate. Any pilot that could pull off the maneuver would just shoot you in the left eyeball with first burst instead. You need to realize that the probability that you can survive a single pass of any reasonably competent pilot is maybe 10%, if that.

Agree with u, Tigger but last 2 times it happened to me, either i didnt hear the guns (i got a headset, should work), or there was no bullet.

I know u must hit the plane to get the kill, thats why im posting in "bug" section : i really hope its nothing serious, i even may be wrong (i wish i am), but as i wasnt the only pilot to experience this problem, i had to warn CRS.

I'm just writing what we experienced, no complain or whatever : i report a possible bug.

It must be that you didn't hear the bullet, or you got hit earlier and someone else, not the colliding spitfire, got a kill on you. This shouldn't happen either but I believe this is a known bug. It is definitely impossible to get a kill by ramming without shooting. The essential reason for this is that the shooter never sends any sort of hit message to the target, the target dies on it's own after it detected collision with any sort of object. Hitting an airplane is the same as hitting a tree. There is no way the game would know who to award the kill to. Whether the infantry guy 40km away or the airplane 40m away...

I dont think this is just a spitfire pulling up into the belly of a german plane problem. I have not experienced this in game but I can tell you that a pilot who has altitude advantage that is diving at the enemy can control himself better than one popping up for a shot from underneath and bleeding energy. So in other words dont get target fixation if you are diving and expect the pilot climbing to be able to move out of your way, you control the situation, veer away sooner.

Those that need a conspiracy, will find it.

It is what it is, it isnt new, its a rarity

and it certainly isnt a successful "technique" for ramming another plane.

People cant even take down ea with cannon let alone manuever a plane under another at 300mph and nose up, as to knick the nose of the other and cause a ram and fly away unscathed.
