Apparently it is acceptably correct to not use an "e" in the plural expression of "hero" ... ie: both methods are correct. I was surprized because I always used an "e" thinking that to be de riguer.

Where? Not in Australia mate, we use Heroes.

The only acceptable "heros" is Hero's to show ownership. My source is the Australian Macquarie Dictionary.
