Contact Report problem?

Today I think some of us may have experienced a contact report (CR) problem not being shared on missions targeting the same objective. Either that or I have a misunderstanding on how CR's are shared.

We were defending Herbeumont as Axis. Some of us were on a LW mission (91st & others) from Bertrix where the mission target was just the general 'Herbeumont' defined choice. Other players (91st & others) were on the ground in a mission with the Herbeumont AB as the mission target. Those of us in the LW mission, including myself, could not see the CR's that players in the ground mission were reporting. Being in the same TeamSpeak room as a squad with many of the players in both missions it became quickly obvious that CR's were not sharing across the 2 missions. After a certain amount of fustration & confusion with the situation I eventually had to create a new differently designed mission with the exact same flag choice as target as the ground mission players (in this case Herb' AB), to be able to see CR's across the two missions (air & ground).

Problem? or misunderstanding or change in the CR system?

I have seen the same thing. Last campaign made a mission out of Brussels to bomb Schilde. I had been been on the ground in Schilde and saw ET marks everywhere. Left to grab a bomber and created a new mission. I know sometimes when you create a new mission previous marks don't appear, but was asking squadies to mark tanks while I flew there. None of their marks were showing up on my mission. I was getting target chat for Schilde, but marks were not showing up. Target was the town, not an individual CP or anything.

I've always been under the impression that you only see other peoples contact reports if your missions target is the same.

i.e. If I'm defending BOZ, and my missions target is set to the entire town of BOZ, only those on missions that have the target of the entire town of BOZ will see my marks.

Anyone who's mission target was the army base wouldn't see my marks, and I wouldn't see them, etc.
