Sometimes both guns will fire, sometimes only one will.

Can someone please explain this?

are you talking about the main front guns? if you have them facing directly in front of you, the secondary mains will not fire, have to be off center abit.

Boy oh boy. You know how to scare the crap out of me.

That considered do you have any experience worth talking about.?

Ok, let me tell you.

If you are directly facing an EDD only the 2 forward guns will fire. If slightly angled then the mid gun will fire as well bringing you to 3 guns.

And then when enemy fire hits you one, or more, of those guns will not work.

Does that clear it up for you.?

He might be referring to the odd phenomena where the two twin front guns (not the centerline one that requires your sight to be to the left or right) reload at different rates sometimes. Sometimes I can get both to fire, other times it's one then the other. AKA none of my guns got knocked out, they're just no longer firing in-sync.

I don't think that is an error. The gun crews do not work at the same speed.

So when you first fire you will get both guns firing at the same time. After that they start alternating a little bit as in one crew is reloading faster than the other crew.

Should you cease fire for a moment then both will fire once again at the same time.

Good point c0 but Ice is right I think. They can get out of cycle but they are still firing. Offline external you can see this well.

There's also "blanking" which has been brought up already.
