Map: cannot see player name when hovering over player icon

Hi,

I've learned coincidentally that in minimap (M), when you hover the mouse over an icon, you should see the name of the player appearing. This doesn't work for me. When I want to see who the player is, i have to use a workaround by selecting "send chat".

Also I cannot see who made a certain report. I was told this should also be the case.

Are there any fixes for this? I'm running W7 home.

I wish I had the easy answer for you. I'm not a new player but I did the same thing recently and could not get it to work again. What did work was a complete re-install of the game. Not too difficult but not fun if you have any custom setups.

I'm sure someone knows the correct way to do it but if they don't post here, just re-install.

please check in Preferences/User interface if TOOLTIPS are activated.

I actually had reinstalled the full game without effect.

Tooltips are off by default. Switching them on fixed the problem. I would default them "on" during next patch.
