The death skate

What causes the morbidly fascinating death slide? To be more precise, you shoot someone, and then there limp body glides effortlessly along the ground. Sometimes they glide fast, sometimes they glide slow, but it seems to go on forever.

Also the death jiggle. You kill them in a position where they fall onto an object, then they jiggle and twerk until your ragdoll timelimit expires.

Does this attribute to overall inefficiency?
