Stats page not working, needs looked at. It goes to base page for my tag, but nothing else works. Says no missions or player doesn't exist on a weapon use. On enemy contact page, says player doesn't exist.

Stats always lag behind when a new campaign starts. Not sure exactly what the procedure is but I think it has to be taken care of manually on the back end and then reset. No biggie. It will be up and working as usual when the work is done on the back end.

Stats don't seem to be working atm?

They did work for the first hour yesterday - but looks like they haven't updated since.

Same here, I see no deaths or kills being recorded, although some people do have some kills and deaths recorded in the very first hour or two of the new campaign.

Are stats good to look at or are they still "beta" and not reliable ?

Technically yes "beta" or "alpha" even......but they are for the most part reliable enough. It does seem they are down still but fear not......I'm sure they are being "attended" to.

I flew about 20+ sorties last night had many kills but they still havent shown up....but they will eventually.

There may be times when they are down, and then up again, as the area in the back end infrastructure where they live is being overhauled ... kind of like having to remove the gearbox to get at the clutch.

No harm in reporting it but don't go crazy either. :D

Doc had brought this up and it appears there was a problem. Sometime after the campaign start, the old CSR server crashed the scripts that keep both machines in data. Dave restarted them and fortunately, the data was spooled and it caught back up. From what I can tell, we lost nothing this time.

The final fix for this is shutting down the old stats and that is on the schedule.

S! great work guys and the stats look great.

A question i have is that currently we can do web queries from the old stats but not the new ones. So when the old stats are finally shut down will we be able to do web queries from the new stats page ? as I run a stats spreadsheet for my squad's website so the the crew can see where they are at and for bragging rights among the troops.

Ehstrike S!

For people who have requested, I have provided CSV extracts in realtime. I only have one, it's of player sorties including kills and captures inasmuch as they are put into the database (which at times they have not been there). The way it works is that you hit the webpage with parameters (say Username and the number of sorties you want) and it kicks back a file of MIME type application/csv (or whatever, I haven't looked up the type specifically for this post). This downloads a CSV file to your machine and depending on how you've configured your browser and security, it either sits there as a download, or kicks off your configured CSV handler (e.g. Excel or OO).

The reason I did this is because XML is obscure and hidden from most people, CSV and spreadsheets are within the understanding of normal internet users. It's also a fraction of the bandwidth.

If I know the requirements, I can provide the CSV output. Since it takes a little time, it would be best to provide extracts that more than one individual can use. I wasn't aware that CSR1 had any such capability. I was under the impression that people pulling data from it, were doing it by web page scraping.

I had originally thought AJAX would suffice, but that is restrictive due to cross site scripting security. I have AJAX queries currently used for several reports that can be quickly converted to CSV extracts and thus made available to everyone.
