Resupply missions

Tried to do resupply missions last night for overstock.

I set my mission from HQ to a brigade with selecting mission type as "resupply". For the sake of typing space, I tried several times to make it work.

Anyway when I checked my mission type from brigade screen it showed mission as resupply, however when I check my mission type from mission screen it showed "area attack".. What was happening is that my 23 minute matilda trip did not overstock. 3 attempts at driving a truck for infantry overstock resulted in a cannot set fru in the target AB because you something about being an enemy facility/town or owning it.

So what am I doing wrong?

HQ>resupply mission> target town with brigade> despawn without being resupplied via tank... try to set fru for funneling infantry for overstock... and in one case to try and resupply dwindling sappers.

I am on a Mac.

Presuming nothing has changed, it should all work fine - I overstock often.

Go in the flag you want to over stock (say 2.1 something) but don't create mission

then go to town with HQ and make mission Origin the HQ town AB (from 2.1)

then go back to town where flag is (the 2.1 flag) and make AB Target

Select resupply mission type

Finally, spawn item you want to over stock (say tank), you should be at the HQ town AB; drive to the original flags towns AB (2.1) and de spawn (need to RTB to AB).

Thats it. (doing from memory - I'll check in game to be sure right steps - but pretty sure it's correct)

That is how I understood it also and what was what I was doing, all except from the brigade screen it says resupply mission, from the mission screen it says area attack therefore nothing is being resupplied. The only exception I can see would be if my mission was not created out of the target brigade. Thats how I usually do it and understand its mechanic, however it is possible that I believed I had selected the correct target brigade and did not. Its old hat to do that so I did not verify that I had created my hq mission that way. I will try again tonight if that is the case. TY delems, you might have pointed out where I went wrong though I dont believe I did that.

One last question, does the supply stay with the brigade when the brigade is moved or do you lose your overstock?

Supply stays with flags till used.

Two exceptions I'm aware of, now and then doc does a maintenance reset and os does go away - but that is not the norm - most all maintenance resets os remains intact.

Moving from tier 2 to tier 3 always loses all os; don't over stock right before tier 3. Changing other tiers does not effect over stock supply.

actually that's caused by the fact that adding the Americans (tier 4 in reality) requires manual restock of the DB ... our host coder never added the Americans to the Campaign system before he left

PS: overstocking as a function doesn't care whether the mission is labelled resupply or not, it's a function of the units movement (from where to where) and nothing else other than OS limits (100% of capacity)
