Okay I have updated video drivers and rebooted still CTDing on start of game loading and receiving a new error as well occasionally when i click the play button to start loading i get a "t:0 Error ip 66.28.224.240, port 27015, state 20001" error and then the game tries to load but CTD's as well. This happens with or with out the error.

PC specs

Proc - AMD PhenomII X6 1090T @ 3.41 ghz

Ram - 16.0 Gb

OS - Windows 7 64 bit

Video - AMD Radeon 7800 series 1 GB (drivers updated)

EDIT..... I have reverted back to Version 1.34.9.255 as it's play day for me, will try the update version again in a day or two.

Loaded up ok, spawned in to live server without any problem.

Also getting the same problem. Updated drivers, restarted computer, reinstalled, tried installing in safe, no luck. Instantly CTDing when it starts up on the load.

Usually this indicated in the past a problem with the graphics card being recognized, but it's recognized it just fine in the past...

Proc: Intel Core i7 Q 740 @ 1.73 GHz

RAM: 6 GB

Graphics Card: AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5800 Series (Full on independent card)

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

Getting the same, but with a more specific error message stating that it can not find my graphic card drivers...

But the 1.34.9.255 version finds my drivers just fine.

I have been in contact with CRS, and my gut feeling is that this is a security issue from Windows, where the game simply can not get access to some folders, because it is registered incorrectly. One thing that make me think this is because suddenly all my starting links got a "shield" indicating it needs administrator right (just to start).

Neither settings or game link works for me in 1.34.10.5

OS: Swedish Windows 7 Professional, 64bit

AMD or Nvidia card Wocka?

Yeah i am thinking it's maybe the AMD/ATI video card as when i looked at the error reporting log it mentioned something about the video card not detecting something...wish i saved that before going back to the current version again.

AMD or Nvidia card Wocka?

AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series

At start it says "this and that" dll file missing

But these files are included in the driverset I have for my card (when manually looking for them in windows with a file explorer, they are there)

Good info to have for when CRS takes a look at this.

Ah, rolling back the graphics driver?

I am on WHQL approved drivers from 2012, very stable.

So to get this right someone should post "where" to look for driver version so this get reported correctly.

When I downloaded this driverset it said: 12-8_vista_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql

In Device Manager and DXdiag: 8.982.0.0

The file version of missing files (not sure if it useful):

  • When starting SETTINGS: mfc100u.dll
  • When starting Game: msvcr100.dll
  • In same folder there is another last dll (they seem bundled): msvcp100.dll

I have version 10.00.30319.01 on all 3 of these dll:s

Also I always keep the original install files (packed and unpacked) if anyone would like to recreate the error. But the target should be to be compatible with all versions, and especially the newer ones.

My duty on this should be to try the latest drivers as well, like ehstrike did. (not sure I have the time though).

Guys without sound, is you sound setup for stereo or 5/1 7/1 surround sound?

If not set to stereo and you have the option in your sound card settings try stereo sound or vice versa.

This file contains data on the last abnormal application termination that is used to submit crash information automatically to Playnet. Data solely describes the fault and does not contain any system/personal identification.

Then I rolled back my video driver to the before Halfsite's, as he was getting the no sound bug.

rolled back driver

Display Driver ver. 13.152

OpenCL Driver ver. 10.0.1268.1

Catalyst Control Center ver. 2013.0830.1943.33589

The game loads and I have sound, only tried the french rifle so far and the new sound is great as well the graphics look good to.

The inf textures may be subtle but they are noticeable and very nice.:)

Great work so far to all involved and keep at it.

Ok took me a while to understand how you guys got the version numbers you have, so here is the summary so far for the players that use AMD-graphic solutions:

AMD release: 13.12 -> display driver 13.251 -> vid ok -> sound ok (if correct driverx?)

AMD release: 13.9 -> display driver 13.152 -> vid ok -> sound ok

...some other untested releases...

AMD release: 12.8 -> display driver 8.982 -> crash both game and settings

So what I need to test is newer graphic drivers, and see if my game even starts. And people need to pinpoint which driverx version is needed to fix sound... like "from which version it starts to work".

To expect all driver versions to work is probably to big of a task for this little team doing this game, but of course it would be nice to have this new patch work with all -> would give a lot of credd to the community.

Tried the web variant of DirectX recommended

-> it did not want to change any files.

In the log you could see that installer did not find a lot of files, but just continued.

Instead tried the full DirectX version for those without internet (you get the full file then). It was called "directx_Jun2010_redist.exe"

-> it then updated a bunch of files.

So to be sure I upgraded my AMD graphic drivers to version reported here to work: 13.251.0.0 (Revision number 13.12), no install of Catalyst Control Center

Result: Crash at startup (like before)

Starting Settings: mfc100u.dll missing
Starting Game: msvcr100.dll missing

So I guess my problem is something completely different.

Searching online some people with graphical problems say you need to cleanse your system of old graphic drivers with tools like "Display Driver Uninstaller", but with this computer I have always had a policy to use older stable whql-versions of my graphic drivers, and actually only upgrade if needed (and only if confirmed it will fix any problem).

Not sure where to go from here.

But just have a gut feeling that the installer for this beta does something wrong, because I have to click "do you allow this program to change stuff on your computer" each time you try to start the 1.34.10. Both shortcuts for game and settings have a "shield" next to it. UAC problem?

Also did not find any place to look for log entries, if that could help.
