Mac OS yosemite and mouse over information

A while back I installed the latest mac os update Yosemite.

Unfortunately this caused the mouse over reveal of units seen on the map to not work.

Previously bringing up the map quickly and mousing over a unit would let me know who the player was, but now this does not work.

I have tried changing preferences in game and out of game that I thought would perhaps switch this function back on....but to no avail.

Anyone here with any suggestions about how to remedy this?

This would be of great help.

Thanks

Ingame/preferances option for this is called "tooltips".

Ingame/preferances option for this is called "tooltips".

In the Mac Version there is nothing called Tool tips.

I did find a place to enable icons but switching this on or off and restarting resulted in still being unable to mouse over to get a player's information.

Also...on another matter I tried key mapping my mouse wheel to elevator trim, but was unable to accomplish this.

very frustrating....

Gopher perhaps you could take a look at that as well for the mac side....

just some additional info on the mouse wheel mapping for elevator trim.

I can get the mouse wheel to register, but it I have to depress the wheel (it is clickable)...i.e. Click down and roll. It will typically scroll only up and down a bit, but because it must be depressed I think this resets it when I stop pressing the wheel and it goes back to 100%.

It never lets me get to a down trim, I suspect because I can't roll enough while the wheel is depressed to get into the negative trim.

Is there anyway to edit the .cfml file so that just rolling the mouse will cause the elevator trim to change? (with no depressing the wheel)?

Suggestions welcome.

thanks

Ok nothing like asking people a question to get one's self rethinking.

I solved the mouse wheel problem. AT least it now works.

I went into the Mac OS pref's area and set the mouse wheel to scroll only.

And then went and mapped it.

I still have to depress the wheel but it now scrolls through all %.

Yeah!

Now I can put my throttle back on my slider.

But will have to now learn how to use the elevator trim on mouse wheel...after spending the last 3 months using elevator on the lever.

Oh well...

Still have the mouse over problem....for the map, but I will look at the OS settings closer to see if they are implicated in the lack of mouse over reveal for friendly units.

best
