#457 - 1.34.10.9 Joystick Keys on Mac OS

I have tried 1.34.10.9 on Mac OS 10.9.5. I have Thrustmaster T-Flight X HOTAS JS. Even if my calibration profiles and key-mapper were imported without any problems, since they reside in the \Library\Preferences\wwiiol I have noticed that the game does NOT read the JS button inputs as Joystick button number #, it reads them instead as fn #. That basically renders the entire previous key-mapper setup useless, and one needs to redo everything.

Let me give you an example. I have set Fire as Joystick Button #1. Pressing it, nothing will happen, even if I check keymapper and it is there as Joystick Button #1. When I try to remap it, I note that when I press the trigger (Joystick Button #1) it is read as Fn 1!!!

Can anyone else on mac confirm this behavior? If so, its a bug that needs to be addressed.

Bogol.

This is happening with my3d pro set up as well.

worse....the trigger button is ALWAYS keyed to esc key.

Shooting brings up the despawn menu.

:(

We really need to make sure they are aware of this before any planned released of 1.34.10...

Seeing the same issue with a joystick (CH Products Combat stick and pedals). I can only use the default key map. Any changes to the keymapper comes up as a Function Key.

  • 2 weeks later...
  • 7 months later...

Is there any workaround for this behavior? Do I delete prefs? This worked when I first put them in, and then they switched over to keyboard keys the next time I tried to use it.
