Damn now I can't even find where this is set but it IS set per unit not per weapon. There are reported bugs with stamina drain though. Still looking.

In case that this hasn't been reported yet(1.34.10.9):

Was playing as an engineer and got very slightly wounded by my own satchel charge. After this, I could sprint for a much longer distance than at normal health and stamina. Fru was maybe 450 m away from fb and I could sprint nearly all of that wounded.

Something definitely screwy there.

Its a bug from a while back that I could never figure out how to replicate. Somehow damaging yourself in a certain way as an engineer lets you run your stamina bar completely down and regen, thus running for a much further distance.

I tried to replicate this but "just damaging yourself" appears not to be it, because I couldn't do it. There has to be some other state you have to achieve to make it happen.

Doesn't appear obvious, as I damaged myself a bunch of times to see if I could. Died a few too. Any other clues what else needs to happen to bring this into evidence ?

Sounds realistic to me - adrenalin. I can also run much faster and further with a rifle slung than with it in my hands.

Animation changes and sound changes, but i think distance covered before heart thump remains the same.

Meaning i think its giving the illusion of faster but not giving you the speed.

Best way i could test it was pick a spot where i could back against a wall, place a mark on map, face it and sprint to it.

try to time it and check distance to mark.

Might not be a perfectly accurate test.

Tried running two heavies side by side but due to differences in latency etc that didnt work so well.

Stamina almost runs out too quick now; I'd rather see stamina put back to normal - BUT, lower the infantry sprint speed by 25%. We sure must be in shape to move that fast with all that gear on...... Don't think one sprints that fast with 100lbs of gear.

you can when you have to - for short distances.... Personally the new sprint doesn't feel that much off from what I experienced first hand in Iraq.

As for the wounded bug.... I'd love to have that happen to me.. I'm forever "touching" myself with charges at FB's.....

Had this happen to me numerous times today, I'd get shot/HE damage and I'd be able to run like I had unlimited stamina

Figured one little bugger out, at least for engineers!

Step 1. Spawn Engineer

Step 2. Run engineer until he can no longer run

Step 3. Place satchel.

Step 4. While the engineer reaches for a new satchel (His hands are empty for a few seconds) hold shift and then hold W and A at the same time. Engineer will run his stamina bar down completely. Character indicator shows running.

As long as you hold shift down, its infinitely doable. As soon as he pulls another satchel out, it cancels.

This might also apply to other inf.
