Audio Bug - Additional Data

I have been experiencing regular loss of audio with this game only and provide the following:

1. Have installed and played (using 64 bit Win 7, 8.0 and 8.1) the latest beta (and prior release version) with the same issue where the audio for the game is lost completely.

2. Of 3 conditions noting where this issue occurs, noticed this tends to occur primarily when I leave a FireFox browser open in the background... leads me to believe there is a (feigned shock) memory leak with FireFox which eventually stomps on the game audio.

3. Second condition is when there is no FireFox browser open and the game has been running for a marathon session, any given sudden and loud audio cue such as a nearby tank engine starting up, or even a nearby explosion will cause loss of audio for the game. It doesn't matter where I set the in game audio level preferences or sound card control audio levels.

4. Third condition is also noted during a marathon session, the audio cues start coming across as "corrupted" squeek and squeals (for lack of better definition) and then will eventually drop out all together.

This has occurred with numerous Sound Blaster cards I've used in my system, most recent a ZX card, as well as a Recon 3D and some lesser/older cards. I've tried both Creative and some other third party drivers but it still happens as described above.

No other game looses audio if FireFox has been open while playing for any length of time.

i7 2700K CPU@3.5gHz

16gb RAM

Creative SB ZX (with latest SB drivers)

added info: Previously I would have to restart my system to get audio back for the game, but have found that I can stay in the game, put the computer to SLEEP and then wake it back up to restore sound to the game... but I must perform this step 2-3 times before the game audio will stick/remains active.

Do the audio settings ie "Game / Entertainment / Audio Creation" modes stick when you dfire up or do you have to switch back and forth every time you start your comp? The "sleep" fix usually is for windows 8 and SB drivers or settings wont stick ie adjust your preferred audio settings - put comp into sleep - wake up - reboot and voila - SB drivers are unhappy w win8 that way

Next time you lose audio in game dont put to sleep just launch the audio control panel and switch to entertainment and back to game mode see if that restores audio - while in game

Yeah, thanks for the reply.

I have already tried that and it didn't work either. I had even tried going into Device Manager and toggling enable/disable with no repair either.

Again, this condition ONLY happens with this game, no other.
