Trackir

Anyone having any problems with trackir? I run it as usual but game is failing to recognise it. I have tried keymapping it but nothing.

Ran it last night and Trackir ran fine.

The only issue I've ever come across with Trackir and WWIIOL is that if I come out of the game and then go back in Trackir doesn't turn on the 2nd time. I have to restart Trackir before going back in game.

But the first time I run it, it always works just fine.

I presume you don't get the green light on the Trackir sensor when you launch the game?

Have you tried the "detect controllers" button in preferences. That works for me every time that I start Trackir after I have loaded the game.

Got TrackIr to work in plane, but not as infantry or ATG.

Is this as designed?

Or should TrackIr also work when playing inf or atg?

If your keymapper looks like the pic in Oldzeke's post then it should work in everything.

select "views" then key map the mouse free look just as in Oldzeke's pic.

make sure you save it, been there and done that and forgot to save it:mad:

hmm - I have the settings exactly like on the picture but when I press 'n' in basic training, the game react on mouse movement not on track ir. (got TrackIr 5). Tried to re-save several time and restart the game - still the same

Same. I have to exit out of trackir, run it, then run bge.

I have trackir set for atg(keep an eye out for them back-stabbing ei) but not for inf. I keep mouse look for that. Worked last night.

Not sure which TrackIR camera you have but there should be a green light illuminated when it sees the clip or reflectors. In the past I've had the software fail to start so it doesn't work. Make sure the light is on and open (Maximize) the TIR page to verify it's operation.
