Game crashes while saving settings in keymapper

Returning to game and trying to reset my keymapper to my desired preferences in OFFLINE mode. Everytime I make a change to something and hit save I CTD. When I reload the save took effect but if I go and set another preference say on a tank and hit save....CTD again.

This happens everytime I make a change and hit save.

At this rate it will take me forever to set my preferences for each unit.

Wherever possible eg "Tanks" and such, dont try to make change for individual tanks eg "Stug 3B" but make them "global" for that Unit Tree ie just under "Tanks and Armored Cars" then it shouldnt CTD - everytime you crashed while saving you edited the keys for a specific unit, not the whole unit tree, right?

Haven't tried the global unit tree but yes it happens ever time I save a specific unit.

Yes - thats the problem - do it for the whole tree "Infantry" - "Tanks and Armorec Cars" etc its fine, select an individual unit and save = crash
