Rendering issues with tanks

And oddly it is mostly just tanks. Now I've long known and come to accept that the direction we see turrets facing does not always reflect the actual direction it is really facing, however lately (several months in fact) I've had issues with tanks just being invisible outright.

I don't mean well hidden, either. I mean I will look into an open field and see muzzle flashes and tracers come flying forth from cannons and machineguns, clearly at the proper height and placement for a tank. I will see people shooting back at this empty space and sometimes hit, with the graphic sparking effect of those shells impacting... something.

Yet the tank itself isn't there.

What gives and why is only tanks that do this 95% of the time? (It does happen with infantry on very rare occasions, but it's so infrequent that I can look past it).

Frog, have you pressed the key (F11 I think) that cycles through the draw distance by any chance?

I have noticed that you can often see the effects like muzzle flash further than you can actually see units render. e.g see the flashes of a sniper shooting when they are beyond the 700m render range.

Anyway, worth checking cycling the render range.

I always keep in on max. I use ATGs a lot, and I need to be able to see a long ways.
