Several Pilots have indicated the hits are not registering? Or only registering a fraction of the time. And Im talking about point blank, cannot miss rounds.

Can you look into it?

Do we get the Love or must we be forced to smell the glove?

I made several runs in a Havoc dropping bombs one at a time and about 25% of the drops made no sound or shockwave from my perspective and other players and left no scorch mark. All others worked normally.

We had an allied player experiencing this as well. We even went so far as to test it both on the beta and live servers. On the beta the hits registered. On the main server however, this player emptied his guns into his non menuvering and participatory opponent. No hits registered on that occasion. It was reported and I'm sure is being looked into. You may want to test yourself. This thread should probably be moved to bugs. Maybe there are ground players experiencing this too...

Edit: all this while several more of us were flying normally on the main server. It was not a bug that affected all of us.

On a serious note, this bug has happened before, albeit very infrequently.

had this issue and we documented it. I believe he fixed it with a full reinstall? Perhaps the auto-patching system has made this more prevalent? Edited September 9, 2015 by jester

1: all planes or certain ones?

2: is just to other planes or unable to hit ground targets?

3: have tried moving the gun sight around the target to if it is an alignment issue?

4: does it happen all the time or intermittent?

5: everyone has this or only some players?

I'll try to help you narrow it down OHM.

1. It will not be just some planes. It will not be in the plane data so forget specific aircraft.

2. If a player gets this, it will be against all targets that use ballistic hits and kills. Planes, infantry, trucks, ATG's and AAG's. I never tested bombs for this it was always guns, so that's an unknown but I bet it affects bombs for players that it is affecting guns. Tanks are not exempt, it's just getting a kill on a tank with an aircraft is so hard you'll waste most of your time not knowing. Tanks killing tanks, oh yes, it will show up there.

3. It will not be an alignment issue.

4. It might be. That's going to take multiple reboots to determine.

5. It's already apparent that it isn't everyone.

Dedicated testing with notes taken directly after each test (try to establish some kind of control or baseline then test each case 1 variable at a time) will get the quickest response in terms of possible solutions. It just saves a buttload of time for whoever ends up fixing the issue.

I have flown only one mission since the patch with a Stuka last night. I did not experience any problems with bombs or guns. I got several hits and a kill with one 50kg bomb and hits on a Hawk with main guns.

Redwing and his Hawk apparently aren't experiencing this problem either since he shot me down in said Hawk.

It seems (for me anyway) a restart ( or 3) can fix it.

And as jester said this is a relatively old issue. It just seems to have increased in frequency with the new live server.

I didnt see or hear of it happening on beta while the main was down.

A fresh install for those having the issue might not hurt too. I know im about 3 years overdue.

im curious to know, the people that are seeing this issue, are you also having the texture issue? some textures are updates and others are not but they are supposed to be.

I've seen complaints from ground guys about lag/hits not registering and a lot of trading deaths.

Haven't got to play yet myself.
