After reading some of these posts about hits not registering and some of my experiences on the ground as infantry I will relate to this story as a possible instance of being invulnerable.

Ran a 17pdr mission the other day, did pretty good however I found myself to be the luckiest 17pdr on the ground.

First had a 232 without any audio get within 700m of me. My gun shield was facing him yet he unleashed a direct barrage of about 5 clips of 20mm into me. I was having a hard time determining what range he was at because I was set at 1500m and he was hull down behind a berm and I was blinded by impacts. Jselic was hitting him from a flank, or viewed that way for me with his 17pdr. The 232 was nailing me with both mg fire and 20mm hits... I finally killed him after about 6 shot attempts. J did not kill him, and I did not even get a scratch. I do not think I have ever come out of something like that unscathed at all. Usually Im dead to much less. And with much less, I have had a tire blown, lost commander something.

I was either the luckiest ATG gunner that day or it might be related to unregistered hits/damage
