I am not sure if this is a new feature or a product of lag but the last days I have been killed several times inside a CP by fire through the wood.

For instance I was lying on the ground of the top floor of a CP and I got machineguned from below without even seen the enemy player that was downstairs.

is it possible for LGM, Bren, BAR... to be used like this?

It was a surprise for me because I have not played the game in years and didn't expected that:confused:

Ive been shot through walls more than anything, I think it is lag related. Whatever it is, its getting intolerable. I feel like nearly every death is due to being shot through a wall before I can even see the person shooting. They also appear to hover and move through walls themselves, in spite of low ping >_>.

I understand your frustration but there can be a few things related.

Lag can be one of them and as we all play with a variety of PC's and different pings etc these issues can and will arise.

Another thing is that when you stand next to a wall or are lying on a floor you may also have a part of your body, a foot arm leg etc, clip through the wall and when this happens you can be shot from the other side. CRS has done some things to help correct this in the past and it has improved a lot as this occurs less often.

When i find this happening to much I usually do a restart of my PC and that helps some as well or i will switch tactics.

The recent lag issue is being looked at and CRS expects to address it effectively in the next patch. It is the result of upgrading hardware and software (including the latest patch) and I am more than ecstatic that CRS made those hardware/software changes....and happy to work thru it to the next patch for a resolution.

That said, I have experienced an inordinate amount of lag recently and I agree with you folks that what appears to be "shooting/killing thru solid objects" is very frustrating and I attribute most of it to lag.

Seriously, I sniped an Allied EI on top of an AB Vehicle Spawn a few days ago and it was 3 secs before he fell and, in my view, actually got a shot off at me before he fell dead from my shot......at least, thats what it looked like to me.......so I think that lag is a signficant contributor to the problem here.

But, there are additional issues that cause this and I agree with Ehstrike that even today, about 40% of the CP kills I see are due to infantry movement through and around walls and floors which exposes you to being hit/killed from the other side of the wall/floor. Solution, if you are going to lay down, don't move after that, check your proximity to walls (you WILL have to move to do that) and try not to be in a position to be sniped from outside the building....Good Luck out there......its a combat zone for sure...lol
