Keyboard Rudder Control

After flying a bit in the intermission, I encountered an issue I noticed a couple years ago, and wanted to bring up again. For those of us without a rudder function of some sort on our joysticks and a lack of pedals, there is no way to functionally use the plane's rudder(s). The reason for this is that if you bind the rudder to a couple of keys in the keymapper, you get stuck with one big issue. Once you move that rudder, you can't move it back to the neutral position. For instance, imagine your rudder keys are Z for left and X for right. When you hit Z, it locks the rudder into the left position. Hitting X afterwards doesn't reset the rudder, it just locks it into the right position. This obviously makes it impossible to fly once you have used the rudder, as you now have to fly with the rudder locked into either side.

The solution would be to have the rudder reset to the neutral position after releasing either key. This would allow the rudder to be functional when using the keyboard. An example would be the ArmA series. Planes in that game automatically reset the rudder(s) back to the original position after you release either key. This allows small increments to be made with quick taps of the key or holding it down for larger adjustments.

I hope you guys can consider adding this feature to the game(if possible). It should significantly help those of us who like flying, but can't really afford pedals or better joysticks.

Haunt your local thrift stores and flea markets. You'll be surprised what you find. I bought a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro twist stick at a local thrift store for $5. It works perfectly. Failing that, how about flying with a gamepad? Do you have any USB gamepads, for PlayStation 3 or some such, laying around. If they calibrate on your computer, you may be able to use one to fly.
