Reload rather than fire

When I log in as infantry more often than not, when I go to fire the weapon I reload rather than fire.

I thought it was a common bug in game but when I mentioned it no one else said they have the issue.

Everyone said I needed to go back to default key-mapper, but I'm using default key-mapping for infantry?

Tired of dying while getting shot with a new weapon I've never fired.

Hmm odd. Really sounds like you have mapped reloading and firing to the same key. Check both keymappers - the category infantry and the infantry type where this is happening.

Double check your keymapper... even though I had made no changes somehow some of my keybindings got doubled up...

I have default key-mapper for infantry, if I had changed any key-mapping your point may be valid, since they are all white, unedited, I find it difficult to believe its something I've done.

Gone through and made everything default in infantry again, selected each key map choice and clicked on default and saved it, all still white.

May sound silly but if you have a spare keyboard try it. If it still does it put your original keyboard back and try a spare joystick if you have one. If you don't have a spare joystick try it using keyboard and unplug your joystick.

Does it happen in offline mode also.

Going back clearing everything and resetting it back to default seems to have corrected it. I never played with the infantry key mapper, somewhere I have a copy of the first beta on a zip disk and I've never played with the infantry key mapper.
