ME109 Engine cutting out

I don't know if it is just me being a biff but I am having issues when I fly the ME109.

On a number of occasions now, after I have been flying for around 15-20 minutes the engine will suddenly lose power and stall, consequently, I crash and die or end up parked in a field somewhere. This will happen without any enemy contact or erratic flying(more often than not I am flying straight and level)and only seems to occur in this plane?

Any ideas?????

Thanks

Sounds like the engine overheated. Keep an eye on the temperatures

Thanks bb I will.

I have never come across it before though and only ever with the 109

It happens in almost all airplanes depending on altitude (the higher you go, the safer you are since the power output drops), but the worst offenders are the H75 and the the 109s and other hawks. In case you have a X52 or similar throttle, there is a "afterburner" notch that is a safe throttle position for cruising. Remember to keep it there after the initial climb unless in combat and you'll be alright.
