Any time I'm offroad and in 3 gear or above and traveling at speed (i.e. I should actually be in those gears) I black out. If I limit myself to 2nd gear, even if redlining, I don't get black out. So I think speed definitely comes in to play, and the threshold is probably in the 3rd gear speed range on the lower end.

I've managed to black out in 2nd gear before as well. Sometimes I have to stay in 1st until I get past a bad patch of terrain or something.

It's a feaure of the g-forces and brain oxygen we model as part of the black out and red out stuff.

Well, remove black-out logic for the beddy and it's done?

I've blacked out in 1st gear 30 sec out of the FB.

This is sooo annoying.

Give the USA the laffly back.

The beddy has been bugged for YEARS, I can't believe you just gave it to the Americans like that, especially now that trucks are so important again. What was the point? At least give us the 17pdr too if you're make us roll around with the beddy/morris duo.

This is not a bias whine or whatever just a "you-guys-took-a-wrong-decision" whine.

So please don't TOS me again.

US forces have the 17lb, yes?

Well, the black-out "bug" seems like an easy fix, since it isn't really a bug. It's working as it's supposed to be. If we just can remove that black-out logic for the beddy we should be fine. But since it hasn't been done for years (decade?) one could also assume that it isn't that easy. I would like to hear an update from xoom on this.

This is something that never really affected me apart from one or two occasions I can remember an it was a very rapid blacking out as I accelerated and the beddy was bouncing up and down over the terrain. I can't even remember if the terrain was even rough.

On wild card thought is. is this linked to the issue that causes some guns to flip when they are towed - someone came up with a suggestion that you deploy and undeploy to touch the ground before you got towed off....could the truck spawn in on occasion and have the same issue?

The couple times that I can remember having this I was off road. And had to slow down to 2nd gear until I cleared that patch of land.

I have never had it on road though.

never happens on road.

never happens on 'fast grass' meaning one set of off road ground tiles that are, well, fast. (ie. nothing slows down when going from road to off road fast grass tiles > not beddy, opel, laffly or armour.)

also when bedford blackout goes from fade to full black audio cuts out immediately. audio returns when blackout goes away either due to stopping or coming out of the blackout.

Not sure why we are reporting whys and when's ... It's such a common happening bug that crs just need spawn and go off rd.. Should be taken off rd till fixed not added to replace a perfectly good truck like the laffy

Never happens over 30mp/h regardless of terrain. Beddy will always slow to around 20 mp/h for it to start occuring.

Let it go lob.

Soon we can put frus with morris and noone will have to spawn beddy anymore. Just morris and 17pounders.

.

I'm not the "let it go" kinda guy.

You should know this by now ;)

The beddy bug will never be fixed; its as old as the game ffs.

I don't see why CRS needs to stick to this obviously BAD decision.

Why lose manhours trying to fix something that CRS has been unable to fix for 15 years?

Revert the change, thats it thats all.

What's soooo bad balance wise about giving the USA the laffly back if the axis are gonna be able to deploy FRUs with the HT? Plus they also have the 251, something we don't have an equivalent for.

Furthermore, Brits are still gonna be stuck with it..

So please, CRS, I beg you, hear reason on this! This obstination is useless.

I had the Beddy in 4th going across terrain the other day. Mundagurri in tow asked... "you're not effected by the black-out-bug?".

Never really crossed my mind, I got used to it so many years ago. Certain terrain tiles are bumpier than others. I sometimes get close to blacking out, I just adjust to smoother terrain, swerve, decelerate and downshift. I am almost always in 4th over land.

Using a Saitek X52 flight system; throttle as my accelerator, and stick for steering.

Fast tiles aren't always fast tiles as shown in my video. You can get a black out driving over a certain tile but the next time you cross over it you won't. That suggests it has not got something to do with the tile itself. Although you obviously won't black out on the road or on an airfield.
