WWII Online: Version 1.35.0.13 (May 2016)

1.35 Release Candidate

Large address awareness is now enabled (4GB patch).

Code signing enabled for PC client.

Fixed PC crash when opening Squad tab and using .time

Fixed a rare crash that would occur when a sound would fail to play.

Reenabled the High Command GUI.

Fixed the .who command.

Fixed target reports not being shared between same-target missions.

Post-mission screen should now report hits/kills.

Fixed server-side issue that was sending certain messages to all clients instead of restricting them by mission/target/etc.

Automatic despawn timer issues corrected.

Things to Note:

- Windows 10 smartscreen warning

- We are aware of the funny looking trees.

Report all bugs and oddities using .report with DETAILED reports.

You should have either a physical note pad or somehow take notes of all testing activity. Please submit any feedback or AAR to this thread.

INSTALLATION & LAUNCH INSTRUCTIONS

PC

• Goto the PC folder

• Download the client: wwiiol_1.35.0.13.exe

• During installation create a new folder “Battleground Europe - 1.35 Beta”.

• Launch WW2.exe and go into offline mode, verify this works.

• To access the 1.35 server - launch the Playgate.exe from the 1.35 installation.

MAC

• Goto the MAC folder

• Download the wwiiol_1.35.0.13.dmg file

• Install client

• Run Client

• My squad affiliation and/or rank is out of date.

We plan to pull in the live information as soon as possible, hopefully on or before Monday.

• I'm experiencing the following error when I try to connect: Authentication Failed: Map Host (40108) Session rejected by host: internal error (loginfail_addplayer) please restart game client.

This is due to the game's DB using old information. We plan to address this as soon as possible (hopefully on or before Monday), but in the mean time new free-to-play accounts still work, so that's an option if you want to see the new changes ASAP.

Installed patch for 1.35.0.10 to 1.35.013: successful. Logged in but my Axis infantry rank gone. Lists me as recruit. I'm a Oberfeldwebel (rank 8) and better than half way to rank 9. It is my understanding this will be updated soon. I'm a relatively new player having joined March 30 I believe it was.

Things like your rank and squad affiliations will be from about a month ago until we pull data from the live DB. I think we're planning to do in a few days, but I'm not 100% on that.

ok wiped the last 1.35 version frm my computer, downloaded and installed a fresh verion of 1.35.0.13 get on the server goes to load the game and I get that authentication failed window again and it cloeses the game

C drive --> Program Files --> CRS --> Battleground Europe - 1.35 Beta --> PlayGATE.exe ?

I followed the instructions and yes, authentication failed

I download ok and it installs ok. Go to C:\Program Files\CRS\Battleground Europe - 1.35 Beta

and when i double click on both the WW2.exe or the Playgate.exe i get the message:

C:\Program Files\CRS\Battleground Europe - 1.35 Beta\Playgate.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

yes I do that and also use the shortcut from the desk top, now it lets me onto the server, then click play says update found and then it kicks me to the playnet account page and says login error patch not found

yes same as sinwave thr first time with the map error then like I said lets me onto the server click play game it says update found then kicks me to playnet accounts page with the loggin error saying patch not found, i have just wiped it frm my computer again and will redownload and install and see what happens, I should hope i am active I jut paid yesterday and am now Axis HC

my $0.02:

three things.

first: 1.34 gave me waiting for server timeout 80-90% of attempted launches. beta loads much faster and without fail. happy happy joy joy.

second: authentication failed error when attempting to log on beta with my current paid acct. happens every time.

I noticed that when I used my paid acct to try to log on, there are only 2 server options available (campaign and 1.35 beta). However, when I log onto beta using and old account which is not subscribed, I get 3 server options (beta, 1.35 beta, and campaign) and can launch without fail. so I have to play the beta with an old account.

third: cannot play beta at max resolution. desktop set to 1920x1080 and game set to 1920x1080, game launch displays far too large, and my entire monitor is filled up with the upper left corner of the game. in order to play beta I have to lower game res to 1368x768. but then the game only fills like 30% of my monitor with huge black bars on all sides. All resolutions above 1368x768 draw too large for the monitor and only the upper left is visible. Changing desktop res does not affect this - i.e. if I lower desktop res to 1368x768 it still wont fill the monitor and game is still just as small as if I had left desktop res at max.

in order to get around the "authentication failed" launch error, try using an old unsubscribed account, if you have one. this works for me.

The WW2 offline works just fine though and the game looks and sounds great I love what I see so far

Added a note for two issues people seem to be running into to the first post.

To people experiencing the loginfail_addplayer error, this is because the beta DB is using an old copy of the game DB: We thought this was just going to cause things like players' ranks and squads being a little outdated, but apparently it also causes problems if your account was inactive when the copy was made (we think? We're not 100% sure on that yet).

We plan to update the DB as soon as we can, but in the mean time newly-created free accounts work just fine, so that's an option if you want to see how the new version is immediately. Sorry about the unforeseen difficulty!

Sounds like the player DB on the beta 1.35 server isn't up to date. Well, I know it isn't because my 1.34 rank is missing but at least I can login and play.

Geesh, I see the forum still thinks I have a free play account. I don't, I have paid account.
