PC: Full Installer

https://files.wwiionline.com/public/wwiiol_1.35.0.14.exe

PC: Patch (1.35.0.13 --> 1.35.0.14)

https://files.wwiionline.com/public/wwiiol_1.35.0.13-1.35.0.14.exe

Mac

https://files.wwiionline.com/public/World_War_II_Online_Beta_1.35.0.14.dmg

================================

YOU MUST USE A DIFFERENT PLAYGATE LAUNCHER THAN NORMAL!

Go go to C: \ Program Files \ CRS \ Battleground Europe - 1.35 Beta. Launch the Playgate within this folder (not your normal shortcut).

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

PC

• Goto the PC folder

• Download the client: wwiiol_1.35.0.14.exe

• During installation create a new folder “Battleground Europe - 1.35 Beta”.

• Launch WW2.exe and go into offline mode, verify this works.

• To access the 1.35 server - launch the Playgate.exe from the 1.35 installation.

MAC

• Goto the MAC folder

• Download the wwiiol_1.35.0.14.dmg file

• Install client

• Run Client

IF YOU CANNOT CONNECT!

First, try again in 15 minutes. We're having some issues with the authhost we're looking into, so it may go down every now and again.

If you cannot connect to Auth at all, download and install the new client. If you try to connect with the old client, it will just reject your connection without letting you log in.

If you connect on Windows and see "Connected to auth.playnet.com":

Then you've launched 1.34's Playgate, and will not see any arenas if you log in. You need to launch the Beta Playgate:

Beta still shows "maintenance" - any idea when it'll be open for service?

It's still early US time :) I'd guess it will open up by or before noon central US time.

Will be opening it up very shortly here. That was intended so we didn't pull people from the Campaign. Campaign server will be offline in a wee bit, then the Beta will be open.

I am trying to uninstall the previous 1.35.0.13.14762 we used on the last closed beta.

Windows is showing an error while uninstalling saying something like

Internal error: Cannot find utCompiledCode record for this version of the uninstaller.

:(

For now download the full installation of 1.35.0.14 and it will over-write the existing version. Not sure why you're receiving this error and we'll investigate further.

I also have this error when i try to uninstall in order to try a fresh install to get the Beta running.

As i posted before:

Download ok and it installs ok. Go to C:\Program Files\CRS\Battleground Europe - 1.35 Beta

and when i double click on both the WW2.exe or the Playgate.exe i get the message:

C:\Program Files\CRS\Battleground Europe - 1.35 Beta\Playgate.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

C:\Program Files\CRS\Battleground Europe - 1.35 Beta\WW2.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

I am getting the same message when i try the 1.35.14 version

XP Pro system. Any ideas on what i need to do?

If you run into that error, just install on top of the old directory. This isn't something we can fix right now unfortunately, but we'll try to make sure that future installers don't have this problem.

Are you sure you used the full installer? We've had a few reports of some people using the wrong patch that would cause that kind of behavior, but if you've used the full installer it should work just fine regardless of what was on your system before.

Unable to connect to the auth server?

There was a pretty significant change to the netcode, so you have to actually download the patch manually to get an updated Playgate.

Just confirmed the problem is actually on our end; AuthHost should be up in five minutes or so. Sorry about that.

Sorry but I want this patch so bad to be live but having 2 weekends of FORCED testing is a bit much

I can not get in I pay a lot of money to play this game and really rarely play it at all. When im off on the weekends and have no where to go I look to this game that I pay alot of money to play and I have to jump through hoops to get it to work.

This is why You NEVER should freeze campain and FORCE us to open beta EVER!

I was playing campain hours ago not having much fun but at least I could play ...

Now I don't know if its my fault or CRS that I cant play (this all equals crap on my end) I want something to do and trying to fumble my way into game is getting much old much fast

beta or otherwise ...Im not happy nor patient (soon is not good enough no more)

I will be reviewing now my loyalty to this mess ...this day on

I was able to login to the authentication server now but, once I've entered my password and login, it's saying the 1.35 Beta is Offline (and yes, I'm opening the 1.35 beta playgame.exe).

K its up :D

I'm sorry to hear that. As much as I sympathize though, we really don't have much of a choice on this end.

Before every single one of these big tests, we went in with our (extremely limited but very capable) internal testing team thinking that this next build might be the one. Every test has resulted in us finding a whole slew of problems we didn't know existed anyway, because a tiny handful of volunteers isn't the same as a whole bunch of players. We can't afford to hire several dozen testers, and there aren't enough volunteers either, so limiting everyone to the one server is the only way to actually test this thing: It's literally this or we just deploy and you get all these problems in a real campaign while we struggle to fix them.

As for the timing of this test, every single CTD we ran into during the last test (minus one super isolated one) was fixed in just a few days. We're honestly so close at this point that there's a very real possibility this might be the last campaign fought using 1.34, but that's only if we can actually have these tests as soon as we fix the issues we find. If we're restricted to intermissions only, we're looking at months more of this, because we can't fix issues until these large tests reveal them.

I am genuinely sorry and don't like how things are, but this is just the situation we've inherited. I think almost anyone who's played it will tell you that actually deploying 1.35 is more than worth it, but I understand if you might disagree and need to just sit on the side until we're actually there.

I just want to say that, for the sake of everyone who's in the same situation, we're working as hard as we possibly can to finish this thing as soon as possible so you can feel like playing again. :)
