to a horrible era experienced many years ago.

Coming back to the game I didn't really expect to also travel back in time. Invisible EI, rubber banding, shooting through walls, and the occasional long freeze with the sound looping. These issues had been pretty well addressed along with the introduction of netcode2. But I see in the release notes that netcode2 has been taken out.

You must have had your reasons for removing netcode2 but I must now ask how do you plan on resolving these ancient issues that are now re-introduced into the game?

Netcode2 has really nothing to do with those points you bring up.

I have pinged a Dev to swing by and give some insight to this for you guys.

netcode2 is a reference to a networking library that was never fully implemented and was the source of much grief in 1.34. It was only ever used for host to host communications and our 1.35 networking replacement has actually resulted in improved performance.

netcode2 was never used for host-client connections.

We are working diligently toward improving many aspects of the software performance to include client/host packet exchange. 1.35 demonstrated improvements in Multi-crew performance and we expect that over the course of the next few releases players will continue to see performance improvements in other areas as well.
