Movement Bug

Tuesday night, there was a bug which had happened to me occasionally before now, which suddenly started happening very frequently, at least once every five minutes.

When my avatar was prone, I couldn't get him to stand up.  Whether out in a field, in a building, on a city street, or wherever, he had plenty of room but I kept getting no response whatsoever when I tried to make him stand or kneel, not even a "not allowed" message.  Each time it happened, I ended up having to crawl him a few yards, then he could magically change positions again.  As I said, he had plenty of room...no overhanging objects or terrain features were preventing him from standing.

There is also a different, ongoing bug where a prone avatar refuses to stand and sprint, when I'm doing endurance saving runs (run/drop prone/run/drop prone), but that one DOES give the "That Action Is Not Allowed" warning, even though that action IS allowed.

Same issue here.  Additionally, my infantryman gets stuck on sprint mode when i select it.  I have to select "M" for map then hit "M" again then i can stop the sprint.

I believe someone in another thread said you can hit "w" to stop the sprint, since it puts him back into normal walk (or something like that).

could you guys post your system specs? OS version , as well as the model of your make / model of your keyboards.

also - do you have any special macros setup or installed?

key mapped sprint to mouse 3

Dell Smart Card Reader keyboard

Lenovo Computer (runs game fine with avg 65 fps)

Windows 10

no macros set up - just key mapper change - probably the cause?

I have Windows 7, a generic keyboard with forward mapped to the up arrow and sprint mapped to the home key.  As far as the system goes, it's getting pretty ancient...an I5 with eight gigs of RAM and a Radeon 5770.  I'm holding off on upgrading until Star Citizen is about to be released.

I get the same thing, suddenly unable to stand up, run, and keys unresponsive. I will Alt-Tab out/in and get it back.

Windows 10 x64, Saitek Eclipse II keyboard, Nvidia GeFroce GTX 760, i5 CPU, 16 GB RAM

No Macros - Only Keymapper edit is auto-run to mouse button 4

  • 1 year later...

I get it. Happens with crouching/prone.

My bind is standard q,w,e,r,a,s,d. Ctrl is crouch. X prone. No macro.

I've noticed it happens when Crouch/prone has been pressed 3 times in quick succession. Effect wears off after 3 seconds. I've had it when I can't get up and have been killed for it, not sure though if thats within the 3 seconds, heat of battle etc...  otherwise 100% replicable for me everytime.

Not a bug. Is there to prevent "porpoise"

Players would hammer on the f/v keys while running and look like a fish flopping across the ground.

Looked awful.

moving on hitting sprint is i think by design

As for the controls ceasing response, try removing your cfml (just move it to test) and rebind the keys
