Infantry Twitch

infantry is still very twitchy especially at range.  Before the predictor pass inf movement was smooth but the death delay was an issue.............now its the opposite. Hard to get a bead on a running inf now as they twitch and zig in un-smooth motions.

Just checking to see if this is being looked at as a part of the ongoing predictor work

The general consensus in the infantry predictor feedback thread is that the hotfix is a marked improvement. In response to your question as to if it's still being looked at - it's certainly not something we are ignoring.

The worst of it seems to be limited to a smaller subset of players.

I do have one question for you both @bmw @erasmo - in your opinions is the long range issue a significant problem when infantry are running in a strange line? or more so if they are zigzagging?

Basically it is very tough to hit a moving target at medium-long range using a rifle. Of course the zigzag is the worst thing, but it is not needed such a drastic move for seeing the eis running with unnatural manners.

The pacth has been terrific for fixing the lag deads in general, but I still see odd things playing infantry.

Hitting a target now at med-long range is nothing like it was before.  Straight line or even zig-zaging they still twitch, stutter or almost skip as in frames (not what a schoolgirl does) In the past even when they ran in a zigzag motion or straight it was a much much smoother motion or process. It was quite easy to hit or have a high chance to EI hit based on your skill pre-predictor pass. You could track them. Now its almost impossible to try and track them as they seem to stutter, skip, slide or whatever you want to call it.

Nothing has changed on my end so its not my rig, connection or what have you.

I realize why it was needed as close quarters were fubar but the motion process or smoothness somehow is just not acting properly.  I realize its a work in progress but rifles at this point are useless at long range unless the target is static.

I experience the same issues since the latest iteration - with infantry moving very strangely like yesterday they for example moved extremely fast (faster than a car moves) and then stopped and were suddenly moved back half the distance they moved, at other times they "froze in place" and then "jumped" forward unpredictably at a new position. Impossible to hit anything at a distance now. Also I noticed the same strange behaviour on the minimap, with infantry icons moving very erratically. None of these very strange issues have happened before (I checked and it is not my internet connection). I hope you guys can fix this.
