General weirdness

So, first one is an instance where an enemy paratrooper appears from nowhere, right where my flak30 gunner is. He appeared in first person, exactly on the spot where I was. He actually appeared once before, as I was pushing my gun out of the depot. At that point he appeared, stayed as I moved away and then disappeared.
After I had placed my gun he appeared again. I moved my gun to get away, he disappeared... and then he appeared on top of me again. Once in a while there were pistol sounds and and once the paratrooper went into a sort of firebug state with constant firing of the smg.
I decided to respawn and in the despawn screenshot you see him still right where my gunner is.

Second round of weirdness was a madly spinning C47 in a field, burning and exploding. Had to respawn to get rid of it.

Third one is where I once again had an enemy unit appear right on top of me, this time it was a hurri and inside a building. The plane was firing its guns at full blast and spinning madly. You can see the plane sticking out of the building in the exterior shot.

These are just three instances of a number of weird situations that have occurred over the last couple of weeks. Most of the situations involve an enemy unit appearing right on top of me, either just standing there or spinning or exploding wildly.

Similar to that Stuka we saw the other day at Frankfurt @OldZeke.. Was burning and sitting there with engine running and took a long time to finally blow up..

@mpathy42 Thanks for the screenshots. I'm pulling some logs to see if we can't narrow down what may have caused some of this. In the meantime, please remember to use .bug in addition to taking those screenshots. The .bug leaves us with a timestamp and some other data and makes it much easier for us to go in and try and see what was happening across all systems at that specific time.

I haven't seen anything that weird - but something is wrong with kills now.  The lag is terrible lately.

Kill an ei and they keep going for a second or two - seems really bad last few days.

Anyways - i'm off for a bit - too much supply and now the lag is getting to me.

I know what these are, someplace i have some interesting videos of same kind of events involving multiple avatars.

These are Oliver's (KFS1) ghosts :o

Some years ago, one of the cells in the game world went wonky, how ever that works.
And it kept replaying the actions of people that had played in the area at some point.

It was actually kind of creepy, because it was night in game when i noticed them.
And allied infantry just materialized from no place and jogged to the woods and vanished, and then an axis smg kept appearing in the bunker looking out the window, and then he would vanish (no it didnt cause a capture) and there was a PZII that would just appear and then vanish every like 15 minutes.

Ghosts in the machine

As far as the immortalis go, we had an Eric Draven EI last weekend,
He was crouched  capping the bunker behind the table, and 10 people lit him up, smgs lmgs rifles pistols, multiple magazines.
He gave the appearance of being somewhat confused or unaware, then suddenly he stands, runs to the front room and stops.
He gets lit up again, even a few grenades this time, no effect.
He moves and looks out the bunker door, then turns around, shoots 2 guys, only 2, then runs up stairs.
I dont think he was even aware there were 10 people unloading mass quantities of ammo on him, i am sure that if he was he would have taken 10 kills instead of only 2?
He wandered around up stairs, again acting like he was confused but oblivious to the remaining 8 of us.

I now think he was trying to rectify to himself what was stopping his cap timer when he isnt seeing anyone inside the bunker, because last saturday i was guarding a CP
and the cap timer began moving down and i was the only person upstairs, so i sneak downstairs to look, and even look on the porch, but i can not see any cause of the cap timer ticking down, i have no idea if anyone shot me i saw and heard nothing.
I did lose the CP though and caught a lot of flak for that.
I now imagine a couple of EI looking at this allied SMG creeping around right in front of them, sporting kevlar body armor, wondering WTF?
