Lag in Gameplay

I find that after I kill an enemy, more than 50% of the time, the enemy has the opportunity to continue to move and react for roughly a full second to two seconds.

For example, In close quarter combat, I kill someone and then he moves and/or shoots for a full second or two, then he dies. Many times this results in me dying as well.

QUESTION: 1) Is this the way the game is programmed/intended?  Meaning, unless it's head shot in real life the person does have the ability to shoot you back for a second or two; or  2) Is this due to problems with my internet connection; or 3) Is this due to problems with other players internet connection?

Thanks in advance.

Dying should be near instant but with lag it's often not. Most times the guy I shoot dies reasonably quickly.

So when you see this occasionally it can be the other guys connection or your connection just having a temp prob.

Example, awhile back I noticed a guy spawned as a bofors at a fb literally flying around above the fb. I pm him and ask what type connection

and location. In chatting with him he asked why did I ask and I explained he was warping all over. He say's "well I'm on wifi and my wife and kids are

downstairs streaming vids."

Now if you always shoot and it takes seconds for the other guy to die then it likely is your connection.

Have you tried disabling Netcode3 in your preferences ?   If not i suggest trying  this and see if there is a change.

Many thanks Ohm and OldZeke!  I'll look at the Netcode3 setting and investigate my connection further.  Salute!

I was wondering, I had this also a few times where I get the hits and kill on the summary, but the enemy walks off during my death scene.

Should we report these occasions or does it not help to know when and where it happened?

For what i know, if you wound your ennemy bad enough, he still lives, but you get the kill. I'm sure it happened to you too, when you rtb and get "killed by ..."

Ya, lag been worse than normal lately - and you think we ready for STEAM?

Not only that, why the xxxx do I keep shooting players, 1m away - with SMG, they fall over dead - then no kill credit?

I don't see the network stuff getting much better from my perspective.
