Takes only 3 pass's from a spit to take out a axis fms--- 1 loadout    why is this?

Can not see in vid cause it shows too dark here on this monitor, but 50's should not take it out at all i dont think
Vickers 50 does not, B1 lobbing a full load of 75mm HE and STUG lobbing all its ammo does not either.
Must be a bug of some sort.

If this is a controlled test, do you know if any of the other 50cal equipped allied planes can do the same or only the spit?

We tested this twice in the training server after observing it several times in the campaign server at Liege. 120 cannon to start in the Spit V, 3 rounds remaining after first try, 2 rounds remaining after second (I was flying the spit) and clearly the MS goes down prior to a few of the rounds impacting so maybe somthing more like 110 cannon from SpitV, on the high side, to destroy an MS. A similar test in the 110F has the plane with 60 rounds remaining, or about 340 cannon expended to destroy an MS.

Hmm, unless it's an intended easter egg feature, i thought they were supposed to be kind of like FB's in that engineer was the way to do it.

"known bug" that when i questioned Xoom about it during a chat last week, he had no clue about it.  Asked us to provide real proof from the training ground.

It's only been posted about multiple times and had videos made of it. I'm sure they reported it as well.

maybe not known by CRS? Xoom has a lot on his plate. He may not even know of the bug. Think it was around the same time as the Stug ammo taking out fms’s

It's been known by axis that late hurricanes can take down fms quite easily. When I was axis I was on teamspeak and my fms went down plus 2 others by the one sole hurricane over town during one flyby. I tried with a 109g to take one down and failed.

As far as stugs taking efms down, I can confirm that I constantly took efms down but needed at least 3 respawns in a stug3b and 2 in a stug3g. Takes a lot to take down an efms and seems dependent on the calibre of the weapon.  3h and 4gs seem to need in excess of 60 rounds.

This has been an issue for some time.  It has also been reported both in game and with posts in forums many times.

I posted on this weeks ago.

Funny isn't it, when axis HEAT destroyed FMS, the game was halted and an emergency patch was out days later......

It needs to be fixed sooner, not later.

IT would be nice to have a response from CRS IN THIS POST  so we  know they are aware  of it now.

Shows you how much i fly brit, let alone a spit.

"known issue" with out a good documented post in the correct forum, like this post, probably winds up being sidetracked easier.
That's why i made the pak36 thread, it lacked a documented bug thread

I can understand an FM going down from 3 stugs worth of ammo, maybe not intended but at least it doesnt feel strange?
Guessing air killing it though is a slight threshold issue?

Though i will say, Damn im jealous you can put all those cannon rounds into the FM

@xcas this issue will hopefully be addressed with the ammo audit that is currently being done. It is a known issue.

This is a known and ticketed issue.  Xoom can't be omnipresent, there will be occasional things that he doesn't know of or has forgot. He does have a full plate.

The devs are aware of this issue, as stated above there is a ticket for this.

sounds more of an allied air cannon issue but,,,

I want to say Allied Bias.

the 110 is involved as well.. also think it’s just RAF 20mm.. not sure about FAF aircraft

reported this months ago... starting to think they'll never do anything about it. the HEAT and ground HE fix were out within weeks...

the French and German 20mm's are on par (300-360 hits), but the RAF 20mm's are 3x more powerful (100-120 hits) and their MG's do damage to the FMS as well (10,000 hits). the non-RAF MG's, 15mm, and .50's do nothing.

all were range dependent, like the older HE bug (tigers up close 10 hits, 1.2km full load)

Well as Oldzeke said, it’s ticketed and hopefully will get repaired when the HE audit is complete (or maybe as a part of the HE audit). Remember that almost all resources were taken up with this steam release that is very close to being complete.
